Markets: Stocks, Futures, Forex and Cryptocurrencies

How Multi-Market works and how data stays separated

?Which markets can I use in Trading Life Journal?

Trading Life Journal supports Stocks, Futures, Forex and Cryptocurrencies. Each market keeps its own Trading Plan, trades, Historical Evolution, Statistics, Charts, Dashboard context and trading tools.

?Is data from different markets mixed together?

No. Stocks, Futures, Forex and Cryptocurrencies use separate storage. Multi-Market modules reuse the available selection to keep navigation consistent, but trades and calculations are never merged between markets.

?Can I choose a preferred market?

Yes. In My Account you can choose Stocks, Futures, Forex or Cryptocurrencies as your preferred market. The global selection is preserved across compatible Multi-Market modules.

?How do Cryptocurrencies work?

Cryptocurrency trading is designed exclusively for linear Perpetual contracts. It supports catalog or custom pairs, decimal quantities, leverage, margin mode, optional liquidation price, commissions and funding. Leverage affects margin used; it does not multiply P/L.

?How are Futures results handled when the contract currency differs from my account currency?

TLJ preserves the native contract P/L and, when currencies differ, stores the conversion snapshot used to calculate gross and net P/L in your account currency. Historical trades are not converted automatically with invented exchange rates.

?What changes in Trade List by market?

Stocks use shares and symbols; Futures use contracts, ticks and contract specifications; Forex uses lots and pips; and Cryptocurrencies use pairs, decimal quantities, leverage, margin, commission and funding. Each market has its own filters, CSV/PDF exports and warning rules.

Getting started

How to begin and understand the overall Trading Life Journal workflow

?What is Trading Life Journal?

Trading Life Journal is an online trading journal for recording your trades, defining your plan, reviewing discipline and analysing your progress with statistics, charts and tools. It does not replace trader judgement and is not financial advice.

?What is the recommended order when starting?

First configure your Trading Plan. Then record your trades, consolidate your sessions in Historical Evolution and use Statistics, Charts and Tools to review the process. The Dashboard brings the key information together.

Open Trading Plan
?Where can I learn how to use each module?

Tutorials are organised by section and explain how the platform works step by step. Gallery provides screenshots and visual examples of the interface.

View Tutorials
?Does the Dashboard replace the other modules?

No. The Dashboard summarises data from Trading Plan, Trade List and Historical Evolution. To edit information, use the corresponding source module.

Open Dashboard
?Why are some metrics empty or unavailable?

TLJ avoids showing false zeros when essential data is missing or a source could not load. Complete your Plan, record trades and sessions, and use Retry if the Dashboard reports that some data could not be loaded.

?Can I use Trading Life Journal in Spanish and English?

Yes. Switch between ES and EN from the selector in the header. When you are signed in, the language is also synchronised with your My Account language preference.

Open My Account
03

Access and My Account

Registration, security, preferences and account recovery

?Can I sign in with email or Google?

Yes. The Login/Registration page allows you to sign in with username/email and password, and also with Google when that option is available for your account.

Go to Login
?Why do I need to verify my email after registering?

New password-based registrations use email verification to protect the account. Open the link you receive before signing in. If the link has expired, request a new one through the recovery or support flow.

?I forgot my password. What should I do?

Use Reset Password. You will receive a secure link to set a new password. If your account was created for Google sign-in, return to Login and use Continue with Google.

Reset password
?Does setting a new password disable 2FA?

No. Changing your password does not disable two-factor authentication. If you lost your second factor, use one of your recovery codes; if you do not have them either, contact support.

Contact support
?Where do I manage 2FA, devices and open sessions?

My Account contains the security panel for configuring 2FA, generating recovery codes, reviewing trusted devices and closing active sessions.

Open My Account
?Which preferences can I change in My Account?

You can adjust reference currency, time zone, date format, number format, start of week, landing page, language, preferred market and options such as hiding amounts in compatible modules. Changing the currency does not convert historical amounts.

?Can I receive alerts for new sign-ins?

Yes. My Account lets you enable an email alert when a sign-in from a new device is detected.

04

Subscriptions and PayPal

Free trial, plans, payments, cancellation and purchase recovery

?What does the free trial include?

The trial gives full access for 1 month at €0. It then continues as the Monthly Plan at €10/month unless you cancel first. Only one free trial is allowed per Trading Life Journal account.

View Subscriptions
?Which plans are available?

There is currently a Monthly Plan at €10/month, a 6-Month Plan at €55 every 6 months and an Annual Plan at €100/year, plus the free trial linked to the monthly plan.

?Do the plans have different features?

No. All plans provide the same Trading Life Journal access. Only the billing period and associated saving change.

?Does the subscription renew automatically?

Yes. While active, it renews at the selected interval. The free trial converts to the Monthly Plan after the first month unless it is cancelled beforehand.

?How do I cancel a renewal?

Renewal is managed through PayPal. Cancelling prevents future charges and you keep access until the end date PayPal has confirmed for your current period.

?Can I pay by card without using a PayPal balance?

When PayPal enables direct card payment for your country, device and transaction, a credit/debit card option may appear in its checkout. Card data is processed by PayPal and does not pass through TLJ.

?I paid but my access was not activated. What should I do?

Personal Area includes Recover purchase. Enter your PayPal subscription ID so TLJ can verify the purchase and link it to your account without asking you to pay again.

Go to Personal Area
?What happens if a renewal payment fails?

PayPal may retry the payment or ask you to update the payment method. TLJ adjusts access when PayPal reports the confirmed subscription status.

05

Dashboard

Session summary and quick access to key information

?What information does the Dashboard show?

It summarises the active market and selected period with data such as net P/L, trades, drawdown, Trading Plan status, recent trades and session close.

Open Dashboard
?Where does Dashboard data come from?

The Dashboard combines information from Trading Plan, Trade List, Historical Evolution and your account settings for the selected market view. It does not create separate data or mix Stocks, Futures, Forex and Cryptocurrencies.

?Can I change the summary period?

Yes. The Dashboard includes views such as Today, Week and Month to adapt the context of the available metrics.

?What do yellow or red alerts mean?

They are attention states. Yellow indicates something worth reviewing; red indicates a more critical condition or a reached limit. The alert text explains the specific cause.

?Can I choose my shortcuts?

Yes. You can customise three quick links and they are saved to your account for future sessions.

?What is Session close used for?

It lets you review and save the end of your trading session. TLJ protects the draft while you work and distinguishes a draft from an already saved close.

?Which economic calendar does the Dashboard use?

The Dashboard economic calendar module uses TradingView as its visual macro-calendar source.

06

Trading Plan

Limits, targets, rules, strategies and trading context

?What should I configure first in the Trading Plan?

At minimum, configure initial capital, maximum loss per trade, daily and weekly limits, schedule, daily trade count and operating days. These values allow other tools to compare your trading with the Plan.

Open Trading Plan
?What is the difference between Target and Actual in Performance?

You define the Target column. The Actual column is calculated automatically from the data stored in your trades and Historical Evolution.

?How is current personal drawdown calculated?

TLJ calculates the drop from the maximum trading balance to the latest recorded day. If that maximum is recovered, current drawdown returns to zero while the historical maximum is kept for comparison with your target.

?What is Maximum Total Loss?

In Target you enter the total maximum you want to set. Actual is calculated using total net P/L from Historical Evolution, including withdrawals and platform payments, relative to the defined limit.

?What are Rules, Strategies and Mistakes for?

Rules records your operating contract; Strategies defines your execution plans; Mistakes lets you record patterns you want to correct. They can then be used when reviewing trades.

?What does putting a symbol in quarantine mean?

The symbol remains in your Plan but is marked as requiring caution. Tools such as the Traffic Light can detect it and warn you before trading.

?What other context can I define?

You can organise Symbols, Events, Locations and Exits so the information used in your trades stays consistent with your Plan.

?Can I export or import the Plan?

Yes. The module supports CSV export and import. Use these files as a copy or to transfer compatible Trading Plan configuration.

07

Trade List

Trade logging, review, warnings, charts and CSV import/export by market

?What is Trade List for?

It is the detailed record of each trade. From there you can add and edit trades and store the information later used by Statistics, Charts, Dashboard and other features.

Open Trade List
?Can I record a symbol that is in quarantine?

Yes. A quarantined symbol can remain selectable, but TLJ identifies it visually so you know it requires review.

?What is Plan Review?

It is the percentage or assessment used to review how closely a trade followed the Plan. It can also be used as part of discipline metrics when reviews exist.

?Can I save a chart or screenshot with a trade?

Yes. Trade List supports chart information associated with the trade so the review can be documented alongside the rest of the trade.

?Can comments contain multiple lines?

Yes. Saved comments preserve line breaks so you can document the trade more clearly.

?How does reviewable CSV import work?

Before changing your data, TLJ analyses the CSV and shows valid rows, errors and possible duplicates. You can review what will be added or replaced before confirming.

?Is a backup created before importing a CSV?

Yes. The reviewable import creates a recovery copy before applying changes, reducing the risk of losing the previous list.

?Do trades automatically feed Statistics and Charts?

Yes. Those modules calculate their results from your stored data; you do not need to enter the same trade again on every page.

08

Historical Evolution

Sessions, warnings, capital movements and cumulative progress by market

?What should I record in Historical Evolution?

You can consolidate each session with gross and net P/L, trade count, shares and commissions. You can also record platform payments and withdrawals as capital movements.

Open Historical Evolution
?Why use it if I already have Trade List?

Trade List works trade by trade. Historical Evolution summarises the trading day and lets you follow cumulative account performance, commissions and capital movements.

?How do I enter a platform payment or withdrawal?

Enter the amount as a positive value in the movement form; the module records it with the corresponding type as money leaving the account.

?Can I filter by numeric values?

Yes. Advanced search supports comparators such as >, <, >= and <= in numeric fields.

?Can I compare several days?

Yes. Select sessions and use Compare to review multiple days together.

?Can I download my data?

Yes. Historical Evolution supports CSV export, CSV import and PDF download, as well as a chart of account evolution.

?How does CSV import detect duplicates?

For trading days, the main reference is the same date. For platform payments or withdrawals, date, movement type and amount are compared.

?Can I review an import before replacing data?

Yes. Like Trade List, import shows the analysis before confirmation and keeps a recovery copy beforehand.

09

Statistics

Metrics, calendars and quantitative analysis of your trading

?What does the Statistics page calculate?

It calculates metrics such as net balance, trading days, trades, shares, P/L ratio, commissions, win/loss/break-even rates, averages, streaks and other measures derived from your records.

Open Statistics
?Can I review performance on a calendar?

Yes. Monthly, annual and general calendars help you study the time distribution of your results.

?Can I filter the analysed period?

Yes. The views allow date selection and different grouping levels such as trade, day, week, month or year where applicable.

?Can I analyse specific symbols?

Yes. Statistics includes symbol context and other segmentations available in the module.

?Why can’t I edit a statistic directly?

Statistics are derived calculations. To correct a metric, correct the source data in Trade List, Historical Evolution or the relevant module.

?Can I download a report?

Yes. Statistics includes PDF download for the information shown by the module.

10

Charts

Visual analysis of performance, patterns, evolution and symbols

?What can I analyse in Charts?

The module organises visualisations into Performance, Context, Evolution and Symbols to help identify patterns behind your results.

Open Charts
?Which periods can I select?

You can use options such as Month, Year, Range or General, and apply the Symbol filter where relevant.

?Can I see my best and worst trade?

Yes. The module includes Best Trade and Worst Trade cards with relevant details from each trade.

?Why is a chart sometimes not shown?

When there is not enough data for a specific visualisation, TLJ may hide it rather than display an empty or misleading chart.

?Do Charts store data separate from my trades?

No. Visualisations are generated from available records and settings. If you correct the source data, the chart is recalculated.

?Can I download the charts?

Yes. The page includes PDF generation for saving a visual report of your results.

11

Trading Tools

Pre-trade validation, risk units, positions and trade sizing

?What does the Trade Traffic Light check?

It compares the planned trade with automatic Plan limits: risk per trade, daily and weekly margin, trade count, allowed symbol and quarantined actions. It also estimates remaining risk budget.

Open Tools
?Does the Traffic Light replace my discretionary rules?

No. It can only verify data that TLJ can compare automatically. Your discretionary rules and trader judgement remain your responsibility.

?What is Risk Unit Management for?

It lets you project favourable and adverse outcomes in risk units (R) to visualise management scenarios.

?What does Advanced Position Management do?

It helps manage additions, reductions, average price and P/L as the position size changes.

?What does Risk per Trade calculate?

The calculator uses capital, risk percentage or amount, entry, stop and size to help you size a trade and review different stop/risk levels.

?What happens if I select a quarantined symbol?

The Traffic Light can show a quarantine warning so you can take it into account before validating the trade.

?Does Reset delete data from my journal?

No. Reset buttons only clear the current calculation or simulation; they do not delete your Trading Plan or stored trades.

12

Tutorials and Gallery

Visual help for learning the platform

?How are Tutorials organised?

Tutorials are grouped into general operation, Trading Plan, Trade List, Historical Evolution, Statistics, Charts and Trading Tools.

View Tutorials
?What does “Tutorial in preparation” mean?

It means that guide does not yet have a published video. When available, the same card will allow it to be played.

?What is Gallery for?

Gallery shows platform images organised by section. You can filter screenshots and open them in an enlarged viewer.

Open Gallery
?Do Gallery and Tutorials change my account data?

No. They are learning and reference resources; they do not modify your Plan, trades or statistics.

13

Contact and Support

How to ask for help and follow a request

?What is the best way to request support?

Use Contact and include the reason, exact section, what you were trying to do and what happened. If it helps reproduce the issue, attach a screenshot.

Open Contact
?How large can a screenshot be?

The form accepts PNG, JPG or WEBP images up to 5 MB.

?What information should I never send?

Do not send passwords, 2FA codes, banking details or other sensitive information. PayPal and TLJ do not need those details to review an issue.

?Where can I see support replies?

If you submitted the request while signed in, you can follow it in My requests and open the conversation. Requests sent without a session are handled through the email provided.

?What do request statuses mean?

A request may appear as Sent, Under review, Waiting for your reply or Resolved. The status shows the current stage of the conversation.

?Can I reply to a resolved request?

Yes. Replying reopens the conversation so support can continue reviewing it.

14

Data, Privacy and Backups

Export, restore and protection of your information

?Can I download a complete copy of my data?

Yes. In My Account > My data you can download a JSON copy containing personal data, preferences, Trading Plan, trades with stored charts, Historical Evolution and support conversations with screenshots.

Go to My data
?Does the JSON copy include my password or 2FA keys?

No. The export does not include passwords, 2FA keys or active sessions.

?What is the difference between the JSON backup and CSV files?

The JSON copy is a global account backup for consultation/restoration. CSV files belong to specific modules and are the dedicated way to import or export tabular data for those modules.

?Can I restore a JSON backup without overwriting blindly?

Yes. TLJ reviews the file first, shows which preferences and data will be restored, and applies changes only after manual confirmation.

?Is a copy saved before restoring JSON?

Yes. Before applying a restore, a recovery copy of the existing data is created so the latest restore can be undone.

?Does TLJ store my full card details?

No. Payments are processed in PayPal’s secure environment. TLJ only keeps the subscription information required to manage access, status, dates and confirmed payments.

?Can I hide amounts when sharing my screen?

Yes. My Account includes a preference to hide amounts in compatible modules. This changes presentation only; it does not modify or delete stored values.

?Where can I read the legal and privacy policies?

The website footer links to Legal Notice, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Subscription Terms and Conditions and this FAQ.
